Jason is it really snowing where you are now? such a beautiful bird.
No, this is a picture from last winter – I was just thinking about winter coming and looking at some of Judy’s old photos.
Oh that snow looks cold! Not ready for winter just yet. Nice contrast.
I’m not either, but I keep thinking about how it will be here soon.
Beautiful images. You said the “W” word and you live where you really get hit by it. I’m not quite ready for that season yet.
We really get hit with it, and that’s why it’s always on our minds.
What perfect pictures! Today is warm and windy here, but it won’t last. We are already behind “normal” snow fall (0.1″).
The weather here is very changable – sunny and mild, then windy and cold.
Relieved to hear that you haven’t already had snow. The photo is wonderful, but I’m definitely not ready yet.
These days you never know when to expect snow. Unlikely before December, and we’ve had some strangely warm Decembers.
I’m not ready yet either, but I can feel it in my bones. 😦 Nice contrast, and Judy is a wonderful photographer!
She’ll be very gratified to hear you think so!
Wonderful pictures. Love the Mourning Dove, one of my favorite birds.
Thanks! We like them too, though they are eating machines.
Please say it ain’t so! I am not ready to see snow pictures on blogs, let alone the real thing.
Calm down, the picture is from last winter. I can see my next wordless Wednesday will have to be themed “Looking back to Summer”, leaving winter out of it for now.
That was a bit of a shock to the system! LOL I am not ready for that, but do hope we get enough snow this winter to provide some good moisture to the ground.
I’m just trying to prepare people for the harsh reality.
Oh my goodness, poor birds, and the bees…what a shock,.

I really have to be careful about this … I was just using a photo from last winter, thinking about the change of seasons …
Hi Jason, I hope it’s going to be some time before we’re shovelling snow around. It looks like you’ve startled a few people with your winter picture too. When I look at that picture, it induces a deep urge for hibernation.
I also would love to sleep through winter.
